Commercial solar photovoltaic installations

  • Rising energy costs are a significant challenge for businesses and solar photovoltaics systems have reduced in price significantly in recent years. A large solar array can now pay for itself in 3-5 years. We can also introduce you to one of our finance partners that can save you further money from XX tax and structure the repayments to be similar or less than the savings you could expect, making the installation cash positive from day one.. • Unlike many renewable energy companies, we have been around for over 13 years. We have the experience to design and install an effective system that meets your specific needs.

We use our own, in-house team of installers to carry out the installations and do not use subcontractors. This means we can ensure the quality of our work and we take full responsibility for all of our installations.

We use PV Sol software to build a 3D model of your site, including all of the buildings and trees that could cast shading onto the solar array to give an accurate assessment of annual generation.

Using your annual electricity consumption data, we can use the model to predict how much of the electricity you would use in house and how much would be exported. This also means we can advise you on the size of system that would best meet your demands and whether battery storage would be beneficial.

  • As a first step, we can use dimensions from online mapping tools, or from drawings that you provide. In this way we can provide a draft quote without taking up any of your valuable time.

If the draft quote is of interest, a follow up meeting would be arranged for us to check the dimensions on site and to investigate potential locations for the inverter and batteries.

  • We can install on a range of roof types, including:

Pitched roofs with tiles or slates - the roof hooks are screwed into the roof structure and the tiles or slates are cut to fit around them, creating a waterproof barrier

Trapezoidal sheet - We use clamps with self tapping screws to grip the profile. This type of installation is best suited to insulated, double skinned roof sheets. We can also install on single skin sheets, but depending on the profile, there may be a risk of slight leaks during heavy rain.

Flat roofs - We use Esdec FlatFix Fusion frames to support the solar panels. The frames are held down with ballast, so the roof does not need to be penetrated.

York Stone - For this type of roof we will only install in-roof systems - GSE or Viridian. The stones must be removed before we install the solar panels, and then replaced around the panels. It is not possible to guarantee the watertightness if an on-roof system is used.

  • Our solar panels – we can install any brand and model, so if you have a preferred brand, please let us know. Otherwise we will use one of the brands that we know and trust and offers the best value for money. On sites where the visual appearance is important we can use all black panels. On industrial sites, panels with silver frames and white backsheets often offer a higher output and better price per kilowatt.

  • Depending on your electricity usage, battery storage may be beneficial for you. We can model your site and advise you on whether the batteries would pay for themselves.

If you have a requirement for an uninterupted power supply, battery storage would be beneficial and we can design an appropriate system.
